	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://features.cgsociety.org/newgallerycrits/g57/305857/305857_1234152230_small.jpg"><br><br>Years ago I watched the anime Bubblegum Crisis for the first time.  The episode that had the Griffon supercar in it, Revenge Road, will always be one of my favorites, so I decided to model the mid-stage version of the Griffin.  The car is rendered with the Mental Ray car paint shader and an HDRI globe that I made. ]]>

	<title>Character Study: Maw</title>

	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://features.cgsociety.org/newgallerycrits/g57/305857/305857_1234150517_small.jpg"><br><br>One of my first 3D characters, Maw is still one of my favorites.  The sketch Maw is based on I did years ago, but he as always stuck with me. The geometry was created in Maya and then brought into ZBrush to generate the normal map.  Textures were created in Photoshop.  This is an older piece and I feel I have grown quite a bit since I created Maw, but critiques are always welcome.]]>
